Hate to part with this but...I think I'm gunna sell the van. AWESOME beach mobile for summer! The interior is insane.Passed smog no prob, runs PERFECT, 92,000 original miles!!! Automatic Transmission. Inside: New carpet walls and bed with underneath board storage. Fold-down roof racks inside too. Someone is going to score. Two gas tanks. $30-$35 to fill up one. not too bad on gas but it's definely not a Hybrid Had graffiti on the outside and the owner sanded it off. Looks cool. San Onofre dirt color. No need to wash. Hardly any rust. V8 engine. Radio works. Pretty much Everything works on it. I've recently had it serviced. Brand new tires. Let me know if you're interested! I can send you full detail shots..

I ended up winning Tom Wegener's finless division this year at the Noosa Festival of Surfing and I'm so stoked! It was the first finless contest ever and everyone rode all sorts of rad boards. While others were on alaias and finless foam boards, I opted to ride a Sea Glass Project that Tom Wegener designed for GSI. The board was super fast and easy to ride! I was surprised that it felt so similar to an Alaia given it was thicker and way easier to paddle than an alaia. Way different construction and flex too. Anyway, part of the prize was a brand new Seaglass board.

After what happened in Japan during my stay here in Noosa, I'd really like to help out with the International support they so desperately need at this point in time. I have so many friends and supporters in Japan and I just think Japan is such a huge part of the surfing community in general. Their stoke, loyalty, and culture is so abundant in our little surf indusrty and I think the least we could do is help out with the intense struggles they are facing.

I've decided to sell the Tom Wegener Seaglass board I won today and put %100 of the profits towards the Japanese Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief fund. I know it's not much but I do know every donation counts. The Seaglass board usually sells for $500.00 USD. I honestly don't even know if you can get them yet in the U.S. I'm hoping to get $400.00 OBO (+ shipping for outside CA buyers). It's brand new, 6'2" and SUPER FUN!! It looks exactly like the one pictured above. I will offer to paint it as well if someone wants artwork on the bottom for a very small, additional amount, to be put towards the fund as well. I'd just like to say I'm so thankful for the life I've been blessed with. I would have never imagined it would all pan out the way it has for me. If someone told me as a little toehead freckle-faced sunburnt grommet I'd be a professional surfer, travel the world surfing, be in love with the raddest girl ever (Hannah Norton, yeah that's her! :), and own my own business all by the age of 21, I probably wouldn't believe them.

I owe the biggest gratitude to my entire family. My Mom who has passed away now but had the biggest contribution to my surfing career. My Dad who is the best father a young man could ever ask for, and my brothers who I'm so proud of. I also want to thank all my friends for all your love and support. Kameron Brown, you've been one of the best friends I could ever ask for and I know we'll be friends forever. I lastly want to thank my longtime sponsor Gotcha and my friend Devin Johnson the head of marketing there who has approved more flights for me than any travel agency ever will in my entire lifetime. Tom Wegener contacted me recently and asked me to participate in his finless division at the Noosa Festival of Surfing. I was so amped to be invited by him and compete in the newest addition to the event. Tom has always been so inspiring to me. I met him in Noosa about six or seven years ago. Over the past couple years he's inspired the entire surf industry. Tom has taking an enormous step back in time with surfboard design and awakened one of the most fun, functional surfboard designs ever. The Alaia. So many people have followed in his footsteps and found that even making their own alaias is so satisfying. Tom is a true legend and I look forward to riding my new noserider he's making for me at the moment pictured below. Looks like it's going to be a good one! Oh yeah, and the Alaia ...

"Oh, yes, the alaia in top of the board. This is a replica of a board I templated in the San Clemente Surf Museum. That board was made in 1902 and based on the alaias of Kaui, not Waikiki."

Last week I glassed my girlfriend Hannah's new Canvas Purcha$e. It was the first longboard I've ever lammed but I wanted it to be unique and special for her, and made with love, so I just went ahead and charged it while the laminator wasn't there. I went into it thinking it'd be easy after all the boards I've seen laminated lately but dang, it's a lot harder to do than I thought. I started on the bottom with four different colors and that was hardest part. My first color started going off before I got to the last color which made it a bit tricky. All in all, it came out pretty rad and we're stoked on it. I can't wait for her to ride it !! You can't miss Kameron Brown's board to the left too! That thing's sick! He shaped and lammed it himself.

I just got back from Hawaii and had the best time ever! I've been there many times but this trip my girlfriend Hannah and I spent the week camping on the beach, in the back of our rental car, and at Kameron Brown's house on the North Shore. My girlfriend and I went there to film with Naki for a movie we're working on distributing in Japan. I love it there so much! My good friend Naki showed us the ropes and made our trip. I would have never imagined camping in Hawaii but within a weeks time we were on a plane on our way over there with really no plans haha. Hannah was quite nervous about my planning as we were racing around trying to buy a tent the night before the flight but it all ended up working out and camping ended up being the best esperience! I'll have more to come on this trip!! We have tons of photos I've just gotta go throught them. Here are a few water shots Naki took the last day of our trip.

#2-Twin or Quad?

We recently had a couple faulty blanks come outt of the machine so I decided to try and shape a board with the blanks that Ryan considered trash. At first I thought it would just be fun to mess around and see if I could shape something out of the one inch off centered stringer blank which was the fist board I shaped. I measured it out and then sure-formed the lob-sided rail down first to match the other side. Then I had to even out the bottom where the concave was also off.After that I grinded, sawed, and beveled away at the chunk of foam. In the end Ryan and I were quite surprised at the final outcome of the board considering what I started from.

5'9 Mini Noserider

This board was another faulty cut and the tail was also snapped off probably out of frustration or something. Ryan said this one was absolutely unshapable. While I was art the factory yesterday checking up on some boards going through, I took a second look at it and decided it wasn't even as bad as the first one and I wanted to take another shot at it. I started mowing away again and surley this one was coming out better than the first one from the strt. After doing it once I realized what I would have done differently the second time and made sure I took step in the right direction form the start. Since the tail was snapped off a couple inches, I sawed off the broken bit and just squared it off to begin with. This time I started on the bottom of the board too which is where I went wrong on the first one. When I finished it I didn't even measure it so I have no idea how long it is. Since it was just me and the laminator the entire day, he came in and we had a really nice long conversation as I finished it up. Once I was done, I asked him If I could laminate it myself and he agreed to help me out. We layed out the bottom first and that was the easy part. Once that dried in the sun with the suncure added, we layed out the fibre glass on the deck. Dave the laminator tried to talk me out of the volan deck patch due to the difficulty of laminating a heavy 8 ounce glass. I had my mind set on the deck patch though. It ended up coming out really good and Dave was really impressed. I've seen so many boards get glassed up there now that I felt pretty comfortable going into it. The next step are the glass on twin sides which I think I will leave up to the hot coater. One step at a time. Maybe next board..Maybe I'll do it. I dunno.
